As a professional MMA fighter and member of Jorge “Macaco” Patino’s Gold Team USA, Plinio currently holds a black belt in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Judo. Starting his training at the age of 16, under Master Jorge “Macaco” Patino’s gold team in São Paulo Brazil, Plinio dedicates his life to his BJJ training and to his students.

After 6 months of training Plinio entered his first tournament, The São Paulo State Championship. At this tournament Plinio placed third. Years later ,Plinio entered this tournament again and took first place. Since this time Plinio has captured many others titles and won numerous grappling championships.

After watching some of Macacos’s MMA fights in Brazil early in his career, Plinio was immediately inspired and knew that this sport is where his heart was. At this point Plinio began training very heavily and started to learn from one of the best in the sport today. Through his continuous training and being humble to other teachers, from all different disciplines, Plinio is very skilled , well rounded fighter, and trainer. Plinio entered the MMA Grand Prix and won the light heavyweight belt after only 2 fights.

As an instructor, Plinio works well with the students, helps to teach them discipline, and respect both inside and outside of the training center. Technique is very important to Plinio and will be good for those who wish to take it to the next level.
